BP User: a poet or patron who establishes a profile on bookpoets.com to buy or sell poetic services. They agree to platform Terms & Conditions and self direct their offerings and purchases.
Poet: BP user who brings their poetic services to market on bookpoets.com. They list their services at rates they choose.
Patron: a patron on bookpoets.com who buys poetic service offerings directly from a poet. Patrons agree to Terms & Conditions to purchase poetic services automatically by making a booking.
Listing: A listing is a specialized service offering that a poet creates on bookpoets.com to show potential patrons their capabilities. Listings can be public and therefore searchable on the site. They can also be private (they won’t show up in search).
Go to bookpoets.com Click the “Sign up” button and fill out all relevant fields. You’ll have to verify your identity and email address to activate your account, similar to any other online marketplace or portal.
The more thorough and personalized your profile and listings, the more successful you’ll be on the platform. Look at other popular profiles for inspiration! Make sure to note if you have many years of professional experience, a special skill that makes you unique, a large fanbase or significant accolades, awards, or education that add to your clout.
Click your profile photo in the upper right corner. Go to profile settings and change your display name, bio, or photo, or add your Calendly link if you want to offer prospective patrons a chance to chat with you before booking.
